Highlights Preview
A number of outstanding performers, including Sum Yung, Xiaoyu, Yemina Yu Chung-yan, Ho Cheuk-ying, Helen Poon, and Li Shi Cheng, will jointly present several classic and newly adapted operatic pieces. The live performance will feature a selection of moving works such as “Shanbo on His Deathbed,” “Lin Daiyu Burying the Blossoms,” “Regrets of a Stingy Lover,” “The Romantic Matchmaker,” and “The Purple Phoenix Tower.” Each piece will guide the audience through the rich tapestry of Chinese cultural artistry, showcasing the fusion and dialogue between different forms of traditional opera.
