On June 7, the exhibition “Dreamlike Dunhuang: Reviving the Magnificent Realm of Dunhuang” opened at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Library. This exhibition is a key highlight of the “Radiant Chinese Arts in Hong Kong: HKU Library ‘Siu Suet Chai’ Cultural Festival.” Featuring six major thematic sections, the exhibition presents numerous replicas of the Mogao Caves’ stone carvings and artworks, allowing visitors to traverse time and space, exploring the history, art, and daily life of Dunhuang and experiencing its unique charm.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until September 7. During this period, a rich array of events such as lectures, concerts, and interactive workshops related to Dunhuang culture and art will also take place.
Visitors can enjoy an immersive experience inside a replica of “Mogao Cave 45.”
